Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born on September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas. Her mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson is the designer of their glittering costumes, and her father, Mathew Knowles oversees Destiny's Child. Solange is her older sister (4 years separated) is releasing her debut album. She dances alongside her sister during DC-3 shows. Beyonce is of Louisiana Creole & African descent. Beyonce is also 1/32 Irish heritage, and also has distant Breton, Spanish, Indonesian, and Chinese heritage from her maternal side and also. Beyonce has been reported to have said that she began the stage show "Sasha" to combat her shyness.
