Big Time Rush

Big Time Rush is an American pop music boy group that formed in the year 2009. The group is comprised of Kendall Schmidt and James Maslow along with Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. In 2009 they signed with Nick Records before moving to Columbia Records. The group was a part of Nickelodeon's television series of the same name, Big Time Rush. The show ran from November 28th, 2009 to July 25 the 25th of July, 2013. The pilot episode showcased the group's first single promo, "Big Time Rush". The group released three studio albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate (2011), and 24/Seven (2013). The group went on an indefinite hiatus in 2014 that ran until 2021. the group resumed live performances and released the single "Call It Like I See It". Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush to a record deal in 2009 simultaneously with the tv show, Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon then partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group in order to produce the series and provide new music. Their first single, "Big Time Rush" appeared on the series on the 29th of November, 2009. The announcement was made by Nickelodeon the show first shown in the U.S. in November 2009 up until the time it was made available worldwide. The song was played in a preview of the series for one hour and serves as the current show's opening tune. Promotional singles were also released by the show which included "City is Ours" (with Big Time Rush) and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush also covered the Play song called "Famous". It was released on iTunes on June 29, 2010, Following the premiere of the series, another song, "Halfway There", became available on iTunes on April 27 in 2010. The song was quickly the first single to chart on Billboard Hot 100. Due to sales on digital platforms the song climbed to number 93. On September 21 on the 21st of September in 2010, Big Time Rush released second single "Till I Forget About You", to promote the debut album's release. The album, called BTR and launched on the 11th of October, the 11th of October, 2010. The album debuted at position 3 on the Billboard 200, selling 67,000 copies within the first week of its release.
